We breed Chocolate Labradors at our home near Atlanta, Georgia. Our chocolate labradors are very intelligent and well built. So far, all of our chocolate labrador puppies have been dark chocolate in color. Chocolate labradors may vary in color from a light brown, tan color to an almost black color. The chocolate labrador puppy pictured above is about 7 weeks old, and is a good example of what most of our chocolate labrador puppies look like when they leave to go to their new homes. We breed a few litters of chocolate labrador puppies every year. All of our chocolate labradors are AKC registered. We have one very large, beautiful chocolate labrador male named Duke who is an excellent companion and work dog (you would just have to meet him)! Duke is the stud of all of our chocolate labrador litters, and of some labrador litters from outside requests. We have three chocolate labrador females named Dixie, Possum, and Daisy. All three of our chocolate labrador females have excellent temperament and are well trained. Our adult chocolate labradors have about 2,500 sq feet to play inside their fence (except Duke who has never seen the inside of a fence), and we let them out to play and swim everyday. At Deep South Labradors, we give all of our labrador litters extensive care. We are not a kennel. We maintain only a few dogs, which in most cases means that we have only one litter at a time. This enables us to give our chocolate labrador puppies a great amount of attention and care. Doing this allows each labrador puppy to become very comfortable with people at an early age. We handle and play with every puppy regularly until he/she leaves for a new home. We find that this type of care helps our labrador puppies become very close companion dogs.
